God
We believe in the living God who is radically and relentlessly love. God is not distant, disinterested, or waiting to condemn, but actively seeks the lost, the broken, and the weary. God's heart is revealed most clearly in Jesus Christ, who shows us that mercy triumphs over judgment and love over fear.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the full revelation of God's love, grace, and truth. In His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus entered our shame, bore our sin, and defeated death — not to make us religiously impressive, but to make us fully alive. Jesus calls sinners, failures, addicts, doubters, and outcasts — not after they get better, but while they are still broken.
Romans 5:8 (ESV): "...God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Grace
We believe salvation is entirely by grace, not by moral achievement, religious effort, or spiritual discipline. Grace is unearned, undeserved, and freely given. It cannot be bargained for, repaid, or improved upon. Grace does not minimize sin; it overcomes it. Grace does not excuse the brokenness of humanity; it heals it.
Ephesians 2:8 (ESV): "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."
Faith
We believe faith is not intellectual certainty or flawless belief, but trusting surrender to the love of God. Faith often walks hand-in-hand with doubt, fear, and weakness, yet remains real because its strength lies not in us, but in Christ. Faith begins when we stop pretending and come to God honestly.
Humanity
We believe every human being is deeply loved by God and yet profoundly broken. We reject the lie that we must hide our wounds to be acceptable to God. Instead, we believe God meets us precisely in our weakness, not in our strength. Our identity is not rooted in our past failures or present struggles, but in God's unchanging love.
Romans 3:23 (ESV): "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Repentance
We believe repentance is not driven by fear of punishment, but by encountering mercy. True repentance flows from realizing we are loved beyond measure, not from trying to earn forgiveness. Repentance is not self-hatred; it is a turning toward life.
The Church
We believe the Church is a community of forgiven sinners, not a gathering of the morally superior. The Church exists to proclaim grace, practice compassion, and extend welcome — especially to those who believe they do not belong. The Church fails whenever it replaces mercy with legalism or grace with performance.
Ephesians 2:19 (ESV): "...you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God."
LXX: οἰκεῖοι τοῦ Θεοῦ
Spiritual Growth
We believe spiritual growth is gradual, imperfect, and deeply personal. Transformation happens not through pressure or shame, but through abiding in love, honesty, and surrender. God is patient. He is not in a hurry.
Love
We believe love is the highest calling of the Christian life — not sentimentality, but costly, forgiving, self-giving love. Love is the evidence of grace at work in us, not our spiritual résumé.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (ESV): "So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
Hope
We believe there is no depth of sin, addiction, failure, or despair beyond the reach of God's grace. No one is disqualified. No story is finished. No wound is final.
Romans 8:39 (ESV): "...nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
