Terms of Use

The simple, plain-English rules for using Pleasant Springs Church's website.

Last updated: May 5, 2026

1. About this site

ps-church.com ("the site") is operated by Pleasant Springs Church, a small congregation in Pinson, Tennessee. The site exists to teach Scripture, share lessons, support our members, and welcome anyone interested in our community.

2. Your agreement

By using the site — visiting pages, creating an account, subscribing, giving, or interacting in any way — you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on your own. Children under 13 may use children's resources with a parent or guardian.
  • One account per person. Use accurate information, including a real name and a real email address.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
  • You can sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple. When you do, those providers tell us only what you have approved on their consent screen.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable use

Please use the site in good faith. Do not:

  • Use the site for unlawful purposes, harassment, hate speech, or abuse
  • Attempt to break, probe, or disrupt the site, its security, or other people's accounts
  • Scrape, mirror, or republish large portions of the site without permission
  • Upload malware or anything that could damage the site or its visitors
  • Impersonate another person or pretend to represent the church without authorization
  • Use the site to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages

5. Our content and yours

The lessons, articles, photographs, designs, and original artwork on this site belong to Pleasant Springs Church, except where another author or source is clearly credited. You are welcome to:

  • Read, print, and share lessons and devotionals for personal, family, or non-commercial church use
  • Quote short passages with attribution and a link back to the source page
  • Embed our public videos and link to any public page

Please ask before using our material for commercial purposes, reproducing entire lessons in another publication, or republishing photographs of identifiable people.

If you submit a comment, prayer request, photograph, or any other content to us, you give Pleasant Springs Church permission to use it for the church's ministry — newsletters, lessons, social posts, the website, and similar purposes — unless you ask us not to.

6. Scripture translations

This site teaches from the Greek Septuagint (LXX) and the English Standard Version (ESV). The ESV is used by permission under the publisher's standard quotation guidelines. Septuagint quotations are based on public-domain critical editions. We strive to credit translation sources where they appear; if you believe an attribution is missing, please tell us.

7. Donations

  • Donations made through /give or /donate are charitable gifts to Pleasant Springs Church.
  • Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's secure pages. We do not see or store your card or account number.
  • You will receive an email receipt at the address you provide. Annual giving statements are available on request.
  • Donations are non-refundable except in the case of a clear administrative error (for example, a duplicate charge or an incorrect amount). If something is wrong with a gift you made, contact us and we will make it right.
  • Recurring gifts can be cancelled at any time from your /my-giving page or by contacting us.
Tax deductibility: consult your tax advisor for guidance on whether your gift is deductible in your situation. We will provide accurate receipts but cannot give tax advice.

8. Member and learning portals

Some areas of the site — the members portal, the education portal, and giving history — are available only to people with an account. Information you see in those areas is for your personal use and the work of the church. Please do not share member directories, prayer lists, or course material outside the congregation without permission.

9. Third-party services and links

We use Stripe to process donations, Frappe Cloud to host the site, and other services described in our Privacy Policy. We also link to outside websites, books, and tools. Those services and sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Disclaimers

The site and its contents are provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep the site accurate, online, and secure, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly suited to any particular purpose. Spiritual and pastoral content is offered in good faith for teaching and reflection; it is not a substitute for in-person pastoral care, medical advice, legal advice, or counseling.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pleasant Springs Church and the volunteers and contractors who help us run this site will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the site. Our total liability for any direct claim relating to the site will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the prior twelve months — which, for most visitors, is zero.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change, and significant changes will be announced in the newsletter. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you and Pleasant Springs Church agree to that jurisdiction.
