1 What Went Wrong?

🌳 A long, long time ago, God made the very first people — Adam and Eve. They lived in a beautiful garden called Eden, and the best part was that God was RIGHT THERE with them! They could talk to God, walk with God, and be close to Him every single day.

But one day, Adam and Eve made a bad choice. They disobeyed God. And something sad happened — they had to leave the garden. They couldn't be close to God the same way anymore. 😢

What is sin? Sin is when we choose to disobey God. Because Adam and Eve's choice broke things, every person after them was born into a world that was already broken. We all grow up far away from God's perfect home.
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” — Romans 3:23 (NLT)

2 Joseph — The Brother Who Forgave

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Joseph had 11 brothers, and they were SO mean to him! They were jealous because their dad loved Joseph a lot. One day, they threw Joseph into a pit and then sold him to strangers who took him far, far away to Egypt.

Joseph was so sad. He was put in prison even though he didn't do anything wrong! But guess what? God had a BIG plan. God made Joseph a leader in Egypt — the second most powerful person in the whole country! 👑

When Joseph's brothers came to Egypt looking for food during a big famine, they didn't even recognize him. But Joseph recognized THEM. And instead of being mean back, Joseph… FORGAVE THEM! He even cried happy tears! 😭

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good.” — Genesis 50:20 (NLT)
💡 That's what grace looks like!Being kind to someone even when they don't deserve it.

3 We All Make Mistakes

🤔 Have you ever done something you knew was wrong? Maybe you told a lie, or were mean to someone, or disobeyed your mom or dad?

We ALL make mistakes. Every single person. Even grown-ups! The Bible tells us that the price for our sins is really serious — but God has a gift for us!

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 6:23 (NLT)
🎁 A gift! That means it's FREE. You can't buy it. You can't earn it by being really, really good. God just gives it to you because He loves you!

There was a king named David who made some really big mistakes. But when David told God he was sorry — truly sorry — God forgave him! 👏

“Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, ‘I will confess my rebellion to the LORD.’ And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.” — Psalm 32:5 (NLT)

4 Jesus Fixes Everything!

✝️ God loved people SO much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to fix the broken world.

Jesus never did anything wrong — ever! But He chose to die on a cross so that OUR sins could be forgiven. And the most amazing part? Three days later, Jesus came back to life! He defeated death forever! 🌟

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16 (NLT)
🧷 Did you know? When Jesus died, something incredible happened in the Temple — a HUGE curtain that separated people from God's special presence was TORN in two! That curtain was like a wall between us and God. Jesus tore it down! Now we can be close to God again — just like Adam and Eve were in the garden!

5 God's Amazing Gift — GRACE!

🎁 Grace is one of the most important words in the whole Bible. It means getting something wonderful that you didn't earn and don't deserve.

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” — Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT)
⚽ Grace is like… Imagine you broke your neighbor's window playing ball. You can't afford to fix it. But instead of being angry, your neighbor fixes it themselves AND invites you over for cookies! That's grace!
🎯 Big Idea: Grace = God's gift of love, forgiveness, and friendship — even though we don't deserve it!

🙏 Let's Pray Together Dear God, thank You for Your amazing grace! Thank You for sending Jesus to fix what was broken. Help me to forgive others the way Joseph forgave his brothers, and the way You forgive me. I love You! Amen.
